Heart's Quest Valentine's Day Card Challenge Theme #1 REMINDER:
Competition is open until 12:30am CST/Chicago or 6:30am UK time zones on May 13, 2022!!!
Heartfelt greetings from the USA heartland! --which is part of the reason for why Heart's Quest was named. A little bit of another reason is that Heart is a play on my paternal grandmother's maiden name, Hart. She was an important influence in my first 20 years. My maternal grandmother, too, had been a longer influencer and both still have a huge space in my heart. Thanks Sarah Mary Hart Morris and Rowena Mildred Pelz Laible.
As weeks go on, I will occasionally share some snippet's of my heart stories. HQCB is trying to get its roots established in paper-crafting blogland and now I recently created this additional challenge to be offered 2 weeks per month.
I just finished crafting this multiple session Valentine's card:
Victorian Doily Valentine's=
A few design and vendor notes about this card:
a. the dark red flat card base with matching envelope are from The Paper Source website
b. the doily card topper "Color Me" is a Hot Off The Press (2013) item set with 3 doily designs at 2 each and 2 sheets of greeting labels (some with messages and some blank) that was recently bought on sale at Paper Wishes website ($4 reduced to $2 Tuesdays special)
c. I used 7 different colored pencils!!! This is what required many work sessions--labor of love!
d. 3 different colors of foil heart die-cuts were layered on top of the ribbon and center blank area
e. the sentiment label/tag was a blank one that I personalized for Valentines
f. clear/iridescent gems provided just enough accent to make this extra special
Please join this Valentine's Day challenge. Include a heart shape or word OR the word love AND a doily for this first theme session.
